Even though the wedding is five months away, it might be smart to start your planning early if you are thinking about traveling to India! More detailed information will come later, but here we just wanted to provide some useful information that might be helpful in planning your trip to Chandigarh, India
Flight information:
Closest international Airport: New Delhi (260 Km from Chandigarh).
How to get to Chandigarh:
Option 1: Taxi to Chandigarh (Price per car approx. 4000 INR/500 Kr)
The drive is approximately 5 hours from the New Delhi Airport to Chandigarh. We can arrange pick up with taxi from the airport to Chandigarh and forward you the contact information for the driver who will be waiting for you outside the airport.
Option 2: Flight from New Delhi to Chandigarh
During the day there are many flights that go from Delhi to Chandigarh. Flights depart from both Terminal 3 (international terminal where you will be landing) and Terminal 1 (approximately a 15-20 min drive by taxi from T3).
I will recommend to choose one the following companies that fly from Terminal 3 to avoid changing terminals:
-Jet Airways
-Air India
NOTE: For local flights, the baggage allowance is max 16 Kg for check-in luggage. For additional baggage weight, you will have to pay extra.

Pick up at Chandigarh Airport:
If you decide to fly in to Chandigarh we will arrange pick up for you from the airport to the hotel.
Stay at Chandigarh:
The wedding will be taking place at Hotel Shivalik View, Chandigarh on the 12th of April. For the dance and dine party on the 11th, we will arrange transport from Hotel Shivalik view to Hotel Western Court.

We have a deal at the hotel that will get us some additional benefits. For a standard room, the price will be 4000 INR (500 Kr) per night. For a deluxe room, the price per night will be approximately 5000 INR (approx. 650 kr). This will include a complimentary breakfast and dinner at the hotel buffet for the occupants (max 2 per room).
You don’t need to make a reservation. Just let us know your arrival and departure dates and we will fix the rest.
